About the Artist

Hi!
I'm Eleanor Jablonowska, an artist specialising in painting using oils to capture the essence of nostalgia and the beauty within memories. A lot of my work centres around the experience of girlhood, feeling safe around your female friends, and at home with the people you love. I believe in a time of such worry and anxieties we are strengthened by remembering those we love, and I aim to inspire these feelings of warmth and hope within my paintings.
I am also very interested in the human connection between our natural environment and our interior spaces, particularly the home. Having recently spent 4 months living on Vancouver Island, Canada, my fascination with the natural world and how we are inspired by it has flourished, and in my last years of my BA in Fine Art at Newcastle University, I am excited to explore how my interests in the natural world, and human relationships and comfort, will interact.
Born in Hertfordshire, England, I have had the privilege of growing up able to travel, living in Shanghai, China, and Bratislava, Slovakia as a child, which has heavily impacted my view of the world, and encouraged my desire to communicate through art, the universal language.
